When the site is in the centre or north. A shorter road to site and a different queue can save days compared with Khorgos.
Can border passage be sped up for a fee?
There is a paid priority passage of 100 MCI, about $950 per truck. We treat it as a last resort: booking the slot early is cheaper.
What does a day of waiting at the border cost?
About $150–220 per truck: the truck with its driver plus cargo storage at the terminal.
