Oversize load permits in Kazakhstan
Cargo wider than 2.55 m, taller than 4 m or above the permitted mass cannot go on the road without a special permit. We get it in advance, so the truck never waits for paperwork at the border.
When a permit is required
- Width over 2.55 m, or over 2.6 m for insulated bodies
- Height over 4 m, or over 4.3 m for multimodal platforms
- Combination length above the limit
- Gross mass or axle and axle-group load above the limit
Timing
Review takes 3 to 15 working days, faster when the route needs no separate approval. The permit is issued after the state fee is paid and cancelled if payment is late. That is why we apply before loading.
Cost
The state fee follows Article 616 of the Kazakh Tax Code: a rate in MCI per kilometre for each exceeded dimension, multiplied by the route length. Excess mass and axle loads are charged separately. Our calculator estimates the dimensional part.
Frequently asked questions
Can divisible cargo travel oversize?
No. If the load can be split without losing its properties, no permit is issued and it must be split.
What happens without a permit?
Fines for the carrier and the shipper, and the truck is held up on the way. The calculator shows which grounds for fines apply to your parameters.
Which rules apply?
Orders No. 342 and No. 206 as amended on 25 April 2026, and Order No. 184 in force from 22 September 2026. We recheck parameters before every shipment.
